Nevşehir or Kayseri: Which Airport Is Best for Cappadocia?
Two airports serve Cappadocia. Knowing the difference before you book your flight can save you time.
Nevşehir Kapadokya (NAV)
Kayseri Erkilet (ASR)
| Distance to Göreme | About 40 km | About 75–80 km |
| Transfer time | 45–50 minutes | About 1 hour |
| Number of flights | Fewer | More |
| Shuttle price | €11 per person | €11 per person |
| Private transfer | €80 per vehicle | €80 per vehicle |
Our advice: If you can find a flight at a good time and price, choose Nevşehir, since the drive is a little shorter. If not, Kayseri is a perfectly good option: the difference on the road is only about 15 minutes, and the shuttle price is the same.
How Our Cappadocia Airport Shuttle Works
Our shuttles don't run on a fixed timetable. They run for each arriving flight. When you book, we take your flight number and track your plane. The vehicle waits at the airport, picks up our passengers from that flight and then drops everyone off at their own hotel. You don't wait for another flight to land.

A shuttle usually runs when 4–5 or more passengers are booked on the same flight. Because many Cappadocia hotels book their guests' transfers directly with us, we have a shuttle for almost every daytime flight. For late-night arrivals we run a shuttle when there is enough demand, so we can't guarantee one for every flight. Send us your flight number and we will tell you in advance whether there is a shuttle. If there isn't, a private transfer is always available.
Our shuttles are 16-seat Mercedes Sprinter vans with air conditioning, free WiFi and plenty of space for luggage.
What Happens When You Land
The question we hear most from first-time visitors is "how will I find the driver?" Here is exactly what happens:
- We already know your landing time from your flight number. If your flight is delayed, we adjust.
- Collect your luggage and walk to the first arrivals exit of the terminal.
- Our staff member will be waiting there with a sign showing your name.
- They will walk you a few minutes to the vehicle and help load your bags.
- Once the other passengers from your flight are on board, we set off and drop everyone at their own hotel.
Can't see our staff member? Message us on WhatsApp and we will connect you with the team within minutes.
Private Cappadocia Airport Transfer

With a private transfer the vehicle is yours alone. No waiting for other passengers, no stops at other hotels: we drive you straight to your door. It is the most comfortable option for families, small groups, honeymooners and anyone landing late at night. The price is €80 per vehicle, not per person, so for a group of three or four it costs not much more than the shuttle.
- Mercedes Vito and Sprinter vehicles
- Meet and greet at the arrivals exit with a name sign
- Flight tracking, with extra waiting time if your flight is delayed
- Help with your luggage
- 24/7 support by WhatsApp and phone
- Available to every village in Cappadocia, including Mustafapaşa and İbrahimpaşa
Where the Cappadocia Airport Shuttle Goes
Our shared shuttle drops you at your hotel in all the main towns of Cappadocia:
- Göreme: The heart of Cappadocia and the closest town to the balloon launch fields. Most cave hotels are here.
- Ürgüp: The largest town in the region, known for boutique hotels, restaurants and wine houses.
- Uçhisar: Below Uçhisar Castle, home to many luxury hotels with panoramic views.
- Avanos: On the banks of the Red River (Kızılırmak), famous for its pottery workshops.
- Ortahisar and Çavuşin
No hotel booked yet? We can drop you at a central point of your choice.
Shuttle, Taxi or Rental Car?
There are a few ways to get from the airport to your hotel. Here is how the Cappadocia airport shuttle compares with the alternatives:
- Shared shuttle: The cheapest option for solo travellers and couples. The price is fixed in advance and you are dropped at your hotel door. The only downside is that other passengers are dropped at their hotels too, which can add a few minutes.
- Private transfer: The most comfortable choice for families and groups of 3–4, and good value per person. No waiting for anyone else.
- Taxi: You can find taxis outside the terminal, but the fare, especially from Kayseri, is much higher than the shuttle. Agree on the price before you get in.
- Rental car: Worth it if you want to explore on your own. But most Cappadocia tours and balloon flights include hotel pickup, so for a short stay you often don't need a car.
Balloon Flights and Early Mornings
Most visitors come to Cappadocia for a hot air balloon flight. Balloon companies usually pick up their passengers from their hotels before sunrise; this pickup is separate from your Cappadocia airport shuttle. If your balloon flight is the morning after you arrive, we recommend checking in early and getting a good night's sleep. You can also ask us about balloon flights and day tours, and we will plan them together with your transfer.
How to Book Your Cappadocia Airport Transfer
- Send your flight number. Message us on WhatsApp at +90 538 892 50 77 with your flight number (or a photo of your ticket), the number of passengers and your hotel name. You can also use the booking form on this page.
- Get your confirmation. We confirm in writing that there is a shuttle for your flight, along with the meeting details.
- Meet us at the airport. After collecting your luggage, look for our staff member with your name sign at the first exit.
We recommend booking 1–2 weeks ahead in summer and at least 4–5 days ahead in winter. Private transfers can often be arranged at shorter notice.
Payment and Cancellation
There is no need to pay in advance. You pay the driver in cash during your transfer, in euros, US dollars or Turkish lira. Please note that card payment is not available in our vehicles, so have some cash ready. Both airports have ATMs at the exit if you need to withdraw money. We can send you a receipt by email or WhatsApp on request.
If your plans change or your flight is cancelled, just let us know. Since you pay in the vehicle, there is no cancellation fee.
