GEZİ PARK is an urban park in Istanbul located in the Taksim district. Its removal was envisaged by the pedestrianization project in Taksim Square Istanbul and generated a protest movement. Gezi Park is neither one of the most beautiful in the city, nor one of the largest, yet the Stambouliotes are attached to it as to all the green spaces which are not numerous enough in Taksim Square Istanbul.
